In Nepal the salary of the TESOL trained Teachers teaching English in
various Nepal schools would be around 250-300 USD per month. This would
mean about 12000 NPR and more, which is decent enough to live a
comfortable life in Nepal. Yet the salary would depend solely on the type
of organization one is working with. Most schools pay a salary per month
for a full time job, few may have option of part time jobs and pay may
vary.
Besides salary some schools may provide with free
accommodation, and meals, even arrange airport transfers. A room arranged
may either be shared or single, probably in an apartment with other
teachers. It may or may not be on the school’s premises. Rented
accommodations or home stays may be arranged with prior notice within a
budget of $100 a month.

teachers will be well looked after. However the accommodation will be
typically Nepali and therefore basic by Western standards. Toilets and
showers are usually Nepali style and the electricity supply in Kathmandu

Though food is offered with accommodation by some schools, yet it is not
difficult to find food of one’s choice in Kathmandu. Plenty of eateries
around ensure clean, hygienic food for about $ 50 to $ 80 a month.
