People of NEPAL
Nepal is inhabited by a mixture of ethnic population. Tibetan speaking
sherpas of the North to the Daris, Kumhals of Terai the population speaks
fluent Indian dialects. The Tamangs, Bahuns and Chettris speak Nepali or
Newari. The Newars are regarded as the original inhabitants of this
majestic valley. They speak Newari language and have distinct physical
features. They are known for their superb art and architecture. Nepali is
spoken by the Khas of the western Nepal, while Newari is used for
country’s administration. The festivities and imposing tradition of Nepal
strongly identifies its people with their land and culture.
